These Buffalo arrived at one of John Chapman’s Aledo ranches as if my magic. They had traveled across miles of fences and when they found the blue stem grass prairie they thought they were home.
So, they spent the winter on the ranch, eating with the cows and, later, meeting John at the gate when he arrived with cotton seed cake.
When spring arrived, once again, as their instincts dictated, they migrated to another place.
